Honestly you can get a 96-97 GSR for the price of the swap. There is way more to this than just swapping the tranny. Your total cost of doing this and doing it correctly is about $5000-$7000. You will need tranny, tranny mounts, axles, flywheel from the manual car, ECU from the manual car, COMPLETE wiring harness from the manual car, shift linkages, shifter, shift boot, center console to accept the shifter, the three pedal assembly because the size and placement of the brake in the automatic will not allow the clutch pedal to operate properly, clutch master cylinder, hydraulic lines, and someone that has done this swap before. I cannot stress this enough GET A PROFESSIONAL TO DO THIS!!!! You will be putting your life as well as others at risk with a junk install and used parts.

Just change the transmission.

But honestly your better off buying a Manual tranny car.

The cost to do this outweighs the value.

In fact you can probably get a newer car (1997 integra) for the price off the swap

here is the thing, you cannot install a factory nav system in the TL because it comes with all different functrions. You would have to wire it to the steering column for voice activation and rewire all other sorts of things like the radio ect because it controls all these items. There are excellent nav systems out there but not like the one in the acura. This is by far one of the easiest to use system from any car manufacturer and is used in many ways not just to find a route. And for the person who said the stereo is bose you are wrong. Navi is alpine but stereo is not bose

The factory navi system made for Acura is an Alpine. You radio is Bose. Acura should be happy to install an updated version into your 2004.

Alpine also makes a radio/navi system which will replace the Bose. An Alpine dealer can install it.

Both require a DVD player installed in the trunk.

It will take a lot of work...You will have to change many other items such as wiring harness, computer (cars that come with auto trans. have a certain computer strategy that uses feedback from sensors on the trans. and without that feedback it would cause problems) , fly wheel, axles, maybee even steering column if the brackets for the clutch pedal are on the column.... Honestly its not worth the expense or trouble....It would also take some other modifications to the car.

Do what the factory calls for. premium. regular and premium are two different gases for two different kinds of engines. Your engine was designed with premium!!! Engine damage can result. premium has a higher resistance to detonation. Yes your car has a knock sensor, and yes your car will retard the timing. But since when is premature detonation healthy for the engine even though you have a knock sensor? You may not notice a difference but using regular you will get worse gas mileage. more engine wear. and loss of power. Howd that man get ASE certified?

To get started, look for as much information (manuals, repair guides) as possible on the 92 Integra. You will need a good source of many different parts and tools so start looking online for some catalogs.

Yes. Many people have retrofitted HID parts into non-hid headlights. You will need to get the HID ballasts and HID light bulbs and 99% of the time you will need to modify your current headlamps because it will not just all bolt on. If you're really handy, you can put honda s2k or tsx projectors into your lights like some people do, but that takes money and skill.

Edit: sounds like all you wanna do is change out the lightbulbs and get an HID effect. sorry that simply can't be done, you cant run hid bulbs without ballasts because there would be nothing to amplify the light output.

USE PREMIUM. Why? Same reason all high performance NA engines and Turbo motors need to. High compression. In your case your engine is built to have high compression to create more power. Higher compression means higher cylinder pressure due to more tightly compacted air. The more tightly compacted the air is the easier it is to ignite with fuel. The problem is...regular 87-89 octane fuel may detonate to early. The higher octane rating means it is more difficult to ignite that type of fuel. In your case the plugs may still be warm after they fire and when the air compresses again and injects fuel into the cylinder...the 87 octane will detonate too early, before the spark plug even fires. This will cause stress on the engine in the long run and possibly fatal damage if you like to run your car hard like I do. Your car is designed for 91-94 octane, so it won't pre-combust like that and cause damage. Be smart, use the best fuel possible.
