Driving is a complex skill. It may appear to be just a walk in the park for some because all one has to do is to step on the accelerator and manipulate the wheel. But there are lots of other factors to consider, especially since the roads are not always empty. Streets are usually crowded with daily traffic. So how does one maintain on-road communication with other drivers and even for the passersby? Tail lights were made for this purpose.
Tail lights are not just another part of a car’s lighting system. They also play an important role in driving as well. They are part of a vehicle’s lighting system usually mounted at the rear of the vehicle and coming in pairs (left and right end of the vehicle). Owners of Acura RDX or TL have Acura Tail Lights consisting of different other lights with different functions The turn lights, standardized to be colored yellow, are used to indicate whether the vehicle is turning left or right. Turn lights are also used during emergency, as a hazard sign. Another main type of tail light is the brake light (colored red). Its function is to provide an illumination at the rear, warning other drivers to maintain distance. The brake light intensifies when the driver presses on the brake pedal, cautioning others that the car is slowing down, and halting. Acura also uses a third brake light for its lineup of vehicles to add safety.
The reverse lights are another set of lights acting as part of the Acura Tail Lights assembly. This light is used to illuminate the rear of the vehicle when backing up. The reverse lights are automatically turned on when the driver puts the vehicle on the reverse gear. These lights have the highest illumination among the set of lights but not as bright as the head light. Indeed, tail lights prove to be essential parts of a vehicle.
